Modern-day craftsmanship meets traditional English barbershop influences at Ludlow Blunt, a twenties-inspired salon in Brooklyn.
The salon is the head-turning brainchild of handlebar-mustache owner Russell Manley, who’s worked for designer Isaac Mizrahi, as well as for photographers like Nick Knight.
The salon offers men and women a unique, contemporary haircutting experience in an elegant setting — and one you might recognize from HBO’s Boardwalk Empire — designed with seven leather upholstered barbershop chairs from the twenties, along with nickel cabinets, glass, and mirrors.
With freelance stylists honing their skills from places like Vidal Sassoon, Toni & Guy, and Aveda, you’re sure to receive stellar service for cuts, color, blow outs, and up dos, but it’s the traditional hot towel shaves — steaming hot and citrus-scented — that will work male clients into a lather.
Men's cuts $75, women's $95.
Single process $110, highlights $190+, blowout from $60.
Beard trim $15, Traditional Hot Towel Shave $45.
